During Lockdown I wrote my first book, a light-hearted memoir describing how the world has changed in my lifetime. Turning my hand to fiction, I found myself working on two creations in tandem. Both are now finished although I have yet to introduce them to the outside world. Hence this website

Paperback and electronic versions are available on Amazon, where you can read for free the opening chapters of each. Ebooks are significantly cheaper and can be read on your tablet or computer. THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT: A nostalgia fest comprising observations on how the world has changed since 1955, the main aim being to entertain and stimulate the memory cells of less-young readers.

SIMON SAYS: A murder mystery set in a farming community where, historically, a stolen bike, a little poaching or an occasional alcohol-fuelled dispute is all the local constabulary have to deal with. Until, that is, a recently returned resident is found murdered outside his deceased parents’ house and everything changes. A serial killer is on the prowl.

PERCY’S POSSE: A feel-good cosy crime story. The central plot concerns the exploits of a mismatched group of residents comprising a grumpy octogenarian, a retired investigative journalist and a gang of teenaged skateboarders, as they try to expose a web of corruption.
