The Murder Mystery

Hanging, crushing, drowning, electrocution, this killer, is imaginative and definitely not restricted by a limited modus operandi. What next?

SIMON SAYS is based in Allthorp, a small farming community. The people there are a hardy bunch, not easily scared, but even they have their limits. They’re terrified. Is there a killer in the community or is an outsider responsible? If so, what have they got against Allthorp?

Leading the enquiry is DI Arthur Newman, ably assisted by his sidekick Detective Constable Harvey Briggs, but as the body count rises he soon realises they need a larger team.

The problem is that, despite the close-knit nature of the community, Newman is unable to establish a connection between the growing number of victims. A serial killer is at large, but how are they selecting their victims? Is anyone safe?

As the death toll rises, Newman is none the wiser. He has an expanding list of potential suspects that includes the Allthorp Giant Fruit and Vegetable Society, environmental activists Its Our World, and there’s even the possibility that an American hitman could be involved. Is the killer a lone wolf or are they hunting as a group? To add to the frustration, the team’s prime suspects have a habit of joining the growing inventory of victims.

And if that’s not enough, a carload of drug dealers from London recently met a grizzly end not far from his patch. Just a coincidence?

Never before has DI Newman found himself at such a loss, and he doesn’t like it.

With more red herrings than a Chinese trawler, SIMON SAYS aims to lead the reader a merry dance. To read the opening chapters, or to buy a copy, press HERE.
